Before I started training with Roland, I struggled to stay
committed
to any workout plan, the gym hadn’t seen me in 6 years and exercise was limited to dancing
around
the kitchen. My goal was to show up for myself by making exercise a daily habit by my 30th and
shift the lockdown weight.
Roland is a great personal trainer and accountability partner, sessions are always professional
but fun and you can tell he really knows his stuff! After just 3 weeks in, I was already seeing
an improvement in my overall fitness, having lost 7 pounds. My overall confidence, strength, and
mood increased positively week on week and this was noticed by those around me.
Training with Roland has been an incredible journey. Hitting the
gym
4-5 times a week and consistently tracking my macros has become second nature, and the results
speak for themselves — the strength gains I've made on my bulk, and how well I've maintained
through my cut, have genuinely blown me away.
What I'm most proud of is managing to achieve all of this while still actually living my life.
Weekends out, a trip to Asia — Roland has helped me find that real gains-life balance that I
didn't think was possible.
In the last six months training with Roland, the progress I've made
has genuinely changed my life. I've put on 7 kilos of muscle, and my strength has gone through
the roof — I went from barely managing a single chin-up to repping out 4 with 30kg added. Roland
keeps joking I'm on my way to surpassing him!
What makes Roland truly special is how he handled the challenges I came in with. I've been
dealing with long-term depression and body dysmorphia, and on top of that, eight years of
chronic back pain. When we first started, I couldn't even pick up a 12kg kettlebell without
being in pain. Roland took all of that seriously from day one and built everything around what I
actually needed. Now my back pain has practically vanished, and 95kg feels comfortable.
